Bidwill students received Gold award at the Premiers Coding Challenge

The NSW Premier’s Coding Challenge (PCC) is designed to support the delivery of the Digital Technologies context within the new Technology Mandatory syllabus. The challenge is open to all NSW schools, for learners in stage 4.  Year 7 students from Bidwill achieved Gold level Award and received their certificate from the NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian at a ceremoney held at Power House Museum, Ultimo.

Developed by the Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences (MAAS), the ThinkerShield and associated learning materials help to bring digital technologies into the classroom. Based on Arduino – an open-source electronics platform based on easy-to-use hardware and software (based on the C programming language) – the ThinkerShield is the simplest, and most reliable way to get started with physical computing.
