Penrith Show-2018

Chifley College, Bidwill Campus was, again, extremely successful at Penrith Show this year. In one of the closest contests for many years we have retained the UWS Produce trophy. Our rival in this year contest was Cranebrook High School who have always put up fierce competition for this trophy. Indeed, the final scores for both schools was 9 out of 15 and we retained the trophy based on a count back that included our first place in a poultry entry.

We secured the trophy with the following wins in five categories:

1^st place – Jams and jelly category with many thanks going to the Hospitality Students and their wonderful Apple jelly.

1^st place for the horticulture category

2^nd place for the fruit and vegetables grown at the farm.

4^th place – eggs

4^th place for the chutney (prepared by the Hospitality students)   

In addition, our display received a highly commended award and was a credit to the student in Agriculture who put it together.
